In love with this rocking chair! #ids13
The Carli Chair is a lightweight, low footprint dining chair that draws aesthetic influences from Italian furniture designer Carlo de Carli.
First shown at Toronto’s Interior Design Show 2012, this hand crafted chair has been shown at furniture exhibitions at the Ontario Crafts Council and Propellor galleries.
Our latest version, featuring rich walnut and custom upholstery will be shown at IDS 13 in the 10th annual prototype exhibition.
Toronto design studio Fishtnk collaborated with Daniel Hambleton of SPM (Studio for Progressive Modeling) from Yolles Group to create the Cortical Chair using research that looks at how designers can bridge the gap between mass-customization furniture and products with large scale production.

The chair frame is comprised of three intersecting laminated wood boomerang-shaped pieces. The seat and back are made of taut nylon cord, which was readily available
following WW2.
Bloom Bench : by Christine Lieu
Bloom Bench expresses the evolution of an object from beginning of life to the end. Bringing fresh natural wood together with the
raw look of felt, each component resembles the high contrasts frequently seen in nature. This bench is a thought-provoking piece
with multi-functional capabilities; as it transforms from a bench, to a floor lounger, to a wall-mounted organizer for extra storage
as required. The discoveries are endless. Given the simplicity in its design and complexity in its function, the Bloom Bench is a
conversation piece that grows as you grow; adapting to your every move and need.
